After a lifetime of living and working under the name Eric Amundson, I decided it was time for a change that truly feels like me.
Over the past several years, life has taken me through a lot of changes—moving, losing family, friends, and pets, and discovering an unexpected passion that’s transformed everything: jump rope.
Jump rope has been my therapy, my community, and my joy. It even inspired me to start The Jump Rope Podcast and share the stories of people around the world who skip for fun, fitness, and connection.

I kept my middle name, William (after my dad), but otherwise I’m now rocking a name that matches my rope obsession—and, let’s be honest, Dizzy Skips is way more fun to say than Eric Amundson.
I’m still the same web monkey you’ve worked with all these years—just with a moniker that bounces higher.
To me, “Dizzy Skips” is more than just a name—it’s a reminder and a promise to keep showing up, keep growing, keep bouncing back, and to spread joy wherever I can.
