There’s a new cat in town. IvyCat is thrilled to welcome Patrick Jackson as our new Senior Developer.
As IvyCat has enjoyed continuous growth throughout the year, the need for a new team member became imperative. Hiring Patrick Jackson was the perfect solution to this dilemma.
Patrick received his degree in Physics from the University of Puget Sound and his Masters in Computer Science from the University of Mississippi. He is also a certified Project Manager.
Patrick served as Director of Information Systems at InTime, a start-up that commercialized a NASA-funded project. The project was designed to use digital maps derived from aerial imagery to allow agricultural chemical applicators to automatically vary the rate of application. He also co-authored two patents as a result of the project.
Recently, Patrick has been focused on WordPress development as an independent Software Consultant for companies including Golden Path Solutions and IvyCat Web Services.
When he’s not programming, Patrick enjoys the outdoors through camping, hiking, kayaking and skiing. He admits that he also indulges in recreational programming, a pastime only a truly dedicated programmer would love.
Eric, our fearless leader, states:
“I’m so thrilled to welcome Patrick Jackson as IvyCat’s newest team member.
We’ve had the pleasure of working with Patrick on WordPress development and troubleshooting projects for almost a year and the whole team loves him.
Patrick exemplifies everything that I want in an IvyCat: he’s knowledgeable, dedicated, curious, nerdy in a classy way, and has excellent communication and customer service skills.
Patrick’s dedication to code quality, meticulous communication, happy customers, and improving our processes will help take IvyCat’s development to the next level.”
When asked how he felt about the move, Patrick said:
“I’ve loved working with the IvyCat team for about a year now as a subcontractor. Each member of the team is talented, knowledgeable, and driven to excellence and customer satisfaction. One of the hallmarks of real talent is that they face daunting challenges and schedules every day, maintaining an infectious, playful sense of adventure.
I love working with people to create cool software that works effortlessly, and adds measurable business value.”
The entire IvyCat team could not be more thrilled to welcome Patrick on-board.
We know he’ll prove an invaluable addition to our little litter of cats. Help us welcome Patrick Jackson in the comments…throw him a little catnip, too.
