Hanging with Event Espresso

Last month, the gents over at Event Espresso invited me to come hang with them on their monthly Espresso Bar Google Hangout, which they broadcast live and then post in the Espresso Bar Archive.

I had an insanely fun time hanging with Seth Shoultes and Chris Reynolds; I learned a bit, blathered on, and had more than a few laughs.

Some of the topics we covered included:

  • Anna’s Bay Center for Music, a cool Event Espresso-powered event management site for a non-profit in Union, Washington.
  • IvyCat’s design process (get coffee: a cat definitely did not get my tongue.)
  • Cool upcoming changes in Event Espresso 4 – really excited about these.
  • Event Espresso’s MailChimp plugin gets a new feature: group subscriptions.  Better yet, now they work. Check the pre-release channel.

Before the show, I’d sent the Event Espresso guys a few questions that I thought interesting.  There’s some of this Q & A in the video, but since a few of the Espresso Developers (or baristas?) weren’t able to make the hangout, they wrote in and Chris compiled everyone’s answers in a post entitled: Questions from Eric to Event Espresso.

Here’s the video.  Needless to say, get some coffee.  Or, make it an Espresso.
